The Lord’s Day

What if the only verse mentioning “the Lord’s Day” points back to the very day God blessed and sanctified at Creation? Jesus declared Himself “Lord of the Sabbath”—the seventh day. Why does Scripture repeatedly call it God’s holy day, a delight for worship and rest?

God rested on the seventh day—not from tiredness, but satisfaction in a finished creation. He blessed, sanctified, and hallowed it as an act of worship and benefit for mankind. How does weekly Sabbath observance guard against pride, ingratitude, and forgetting our Creator? Could neglecting it open the door to the same self-deception that led to Lucifer’s fall?
